Seema
Seema is a 1955 Hindi drama starring Balraj Sahni, Nutan. An orphan teenager Gauri goes to live with her uncle and his wife. She works for meagre wages in another house where she is accused of stealing a necklace. Gauri runs from her uncle's house only to end up in an orphanage. Gauri revolts against all the rules and beats up the man who had framed her.

Seema movie plot: A journey of resilience
The plot of the movie revolves around Gauri, a young orphan living with her paternal uncle Kashinath. She is ill-treated, verbally abused, and made to do chores at nearby houses for petty wages. Gauri is caught stealing a necklace from one of her employers, Bankelal, whom she beats up and is caught by the police again. She is then sent to an orphanage run by a kind manager, Ashok. The manager and his associate later discover that Gauri was framed by Bankelal. Soon after, Ashok has a heart attack and suggests to Gauri that she marry Murlidhar, but she proposes to stay and take care of him. Will Gauri choose to be with the love of her life or fulfil her duty towards Ashok? Will she be able to obey Ashok?
