Supreme Court receives warnings over abortion law from hacker group Anonymous

The United States Supreme Court received warnings from the hacking group Anonymous. Anonymous issued a threat in response to documents about the abortion law. The leaked documents showed five of the court’s judges seeking to overturn the country’s abortion law. Roe versus Wade established a legal right to safe medical abortion for women in the United States in 1973.

Although, according to the documents, several Supreme Court Justices want to overturn the decision. The decision to overturn could certainly leave the final call on abortion issues with the individual states. While some states can give a green signal, some may not, even under the pretext of medical exceptions and rape.

On social media, Anonymous wrote about the abortion law: “Repealing Roe v Wade isn’t going to go the way SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the US) or the GOP (the Republican Party) thinks it’s going to go. “Play with fire, get burned. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Expect us.”

The leak of the abortion law document will go under investigation

A draft majority opinion written by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito was leaked, signaling a severe security breach. However, the leak revealed that the verdict was intended to overturn a 1992 decision called Planned Parenthood versus Casey. It also said that people in the United States should have broad access to abortions. The release of this document certainly marks the largest leak in Supreme Court history, and it will be the subject of an investigation.

Moreover, in the leaked document, Justice Alito wrote: “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. “And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey (1992) have enflamed debate and deepened division.”

Chief Justice John Roberts in a statement said, “This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here.”I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak.” In June, the court will give the final verdict.
