“A National Party Has Assured Us All Support”: Eknath Shinde Tells Rebel MLAs In New Video

Eknath Sinde said a “national party” has termed their revolt as “historic” and assured to provide all help to them. 

Maharashtra Minister Eknath Shinde, whose rebellion with several other Shiv Sena MLAs has caused a stir in Maharashtra politics, said a “national party” has termed their revolt as “historic” and assured to provide all help to them. Mr Shinde was seen telling this to rebel MLAs in new video surfaced from an Assam hotel where the MLAs have been camping. In this video, the rebel MLAs are seen unanimously authorising Mr Shinde to take further decision on their behalf as their group leader.

Mr Shinde, a Sena strongman from Thane, is seen saying in the video:  “Our worries and happiness are the same. We are united and victory will be ours. There is a national party, a ‘mahashakti’…you know they vanquished Pakistan. That party has said that we have taken a historic decision and assured to provide all help.”

With 37 Sena MLAs and nine independents by his side, Mr Shinde has been insisting for a patch-up with party’s ex-ally BJP.

Mr Shinde’s office issued a statement in which it said the decision to authorise him to take decision on their behalf was taken unanimously.
