Shinde questions thackeray

This order has led a huge setback for Thackeray group, as they will now have to use a new name any symbol for their party in the upcoming bypolls

Mumbai: A big decision by Election Commission comes today over the use of Shiv Sena’s Bow and Arrow symbol. The poll body announced that neither of the Shiv Sena factions will be able to use the party’s symbol until further notice.

A political tussle is on between Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray since Shinde took over as CM.

As per poll body’s interim order, both the groups have to take up a symbol from the list of available ones. They shall be allotted different symbols by Monday 1PM from the Election Commission.

This order has led a huge setback for Thackeray group, as they will now have to use a new name any symbol for their party in the upcoming bypolls in Mumbai’s Andheri East. The Shinde group will not be contesting in the Andheri East bypolls.

Since June as Shinde took over as CM, both factions have been accusing the other of tainting Bal Thackeray’s legacy.

At the big Dussehra rally this week, Shinde while addressing the rally slammed Uddhav Thackeray for alliance with NCP. He said, “Do you have any moral right to even stand and speak there? You used Shiv Sainiks for your personal reason and went ahead with Congress and NCP… Balasaheb Thackeray used to run the government on remote control and you gave this remote control to NCP.”

Uddhav Thackeray’s Dussehra rally was held at Shivaji Park Ground. Addressing the rally Uddhav Thackeray took a swipe at Eknath Shinde and called him Khokhasur.

He said, “Those who betrayed, they will remain traitors.”

“I was never afraid that my Shiv Sena will be over, but those who are watching this rally today will know what is the strength of Shiv Sena,” he added.

Uddhav called Eknath Shinde a Khokhasur in the rally. Uddhav said that this time Ravana is a Khokhasur of 50 khokas and he was also called Eknath Shinde as Katappa.
