One such Instagram page focuses on NASA’s Chandra X-ray observatory where NASA shared images from hot regions across the universe. Moreover, the images of galaxy clusters, matter around black holes, and exploded stars never fail to leave people intrigued. The US space agency’s latest photo shocks people again. The image of a nebula has a hand-shaped structure.

What is the hand of God?

“The hand-shaped structure, seen in gold in these images, is a nebula of energy & particles blown by a pulsar left behind after a star exploded. Additionally, the pulsar, known as PSR B1509-58, is about 19 kilometers (12 miles) in diameter. And, it’s spinning around almost 7 times per second!” stated NASA.

Moreover, the photos of the nebula energy have accumulated over 24,000 likes and a horde of comments. “Is this the nebula that’s known as the ‘hand of God?’,” asked, one mesmerized Instagram user. However, NASA replied that it was one of its popular nicknames. Another user asked about the dimensions of this interesting hand-shaped nebula. NASA replied that “The first image in the post is about 230 light-years across. PSR B1509-58 is located about 17,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Circinus.”
