Akali Dal is holding its Black Friday protests in the Capital on completion of one of the centre’s controversial farm laws.
Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal and MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal took part in a protest march in Delhi on Friday morning. Earlier the party alleged that the Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib road was cordoned off by Delhi Police on Friday morning and Delhi borders were sealed to stop farmers and Akali workers from coming to the Capital.

The Delhi Police had denied permission for the Akali Dal protest citing Covid protocols and had imposed Section 144 in areas around Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.
Farmers have been protesting against the Centre’s three agricultural laws since November last year. The Delhi Traffic Police on Friday issued an alert asking commuters to avoid the Jharoda Kalan area after they shut the access to the roads on both sides of the border using barricades in view of farmers’ protests.
