Andhra: 230 kgs of cannabis seized, smugglers escaped
Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], April 18 (ANI): The Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) cops seized nearly 230 kgs of cannabis from a car in Alluri Sitharama Raju district here, an official statement said on Monday.

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], April 18 (ANI): The Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) cops seized nearly 230 kgs of cannabis from a car in Alluri Sitharama Raju district here, an official statement said on Monday.
SEB said that the smugglers parked the car when the cops were chasing them near a government college and managed to escape.
“Acting on information, SEB conducted vehicle checking at the SEB office of Paderu of Alluri Seetha Rama Raju district. A suspected car was seen coming towards the check post. The SEB officials asked the driver to stop, on which he immediately turned the vehicle in order to escape. The officials chased the vehicle. But the smugglers parked the car near a government college in Paderu and ran away,” an official statement said.
“The SEB seized the car and recovered 230 kgs of cannabis from the vehicle,” it added.
The Enforcement Bureau is on the lookout for the accused. Further investigation into the case is underway. (ANI)
