Chennai: Man Killed By 3-Member Gang After He Tries To Save His Neighbour

Chennai, December 14: A 38-year-old man was allegedly killed by a three-member gang in Tamil Nadu’s Chennaii district on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Suresh. He was a resident of Selaiyanur village. Suresh was attacked by the gang when he tried to stop a gang from assaulting his neighbour. The suspects have been identified as 33-year-old Dhatchanamoorthy, 25-year-old Prabhakaran and 27-year-old Sivakumar. According to a report published in The New Indian Express, the gang attacked Suresh’s neighbour, 28-year-old Chandrashekhar. The argument between Dhatchanamoorthy and Chandrasekar reportedly broke out when they were boozing.

Following the argument, Chandrashekhar attacked Dhatchanamoorthy and fled from the spot. Dhatchanamoorthy, along with his two friends – Prabhakaran and Sivakumar, reached Chandrashekhar’s house to take revenge. When the trio was attacking Chandrashekhar, Suresh intervened to save him. According to the report, the accused pushed Suresh down. Suresh was rushed to a hospital. However, Suresh was declared brought dead by the doctors. A complaint was lodged in the matter. The police have launched a manhunt operation to nab the three accused. A detailed investigation has been initiated by the police in the case.
