Corruption Case: Bombay HC Grants Bail To Anil Deshmukh

Mumbai: Bombay High Court grants bail to former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh in corruption case being probed by Central Bureau of Investigation. The HC granted him bail on furnishing surety of ₹1 lakh. The order will be effective after 10 days to enable CBI to approach the SC.

The order on the plea last week was reserved by Justice M S Karnik after both sides completed their arguments.

After the Special CBI Court rejected his bail plea last month, Anil Deshmukh approached Bombay HC.
