Amidst political upheaval in Bihar, political strategist met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. This has been confirmed by the CM himself, NDTV reported. At the same time, Nitish Kumar also told that Pawan Verma had also come to meet him. Pavan Varma had earlier left JDU and joined TMC. Now that he has quit TMC as well, there is speculation about the return of the former Rajya Sabha MP to JDU.

When journalists asked Nitish Kumar what transpired in meeting with Prashant Kishor, Nitish Kumar said that no special conversation took place. “What’s wrong with meeting someone? If someone says they want to meet you, then why would not I meet them. I already have a relationship. However, no specific talks have taken place,” Nitish Kumar said.

When reporters Mr Kumar about him being angry at Prashant lately, he responded saying there was no resentment. When asked if they are contemplating to come together, the Bihar CM said the reporters should ask this question to Mr Kishor.

At the same time, on the statements of his cabinet colleague Sudhakar Singh regarding corruption, Nitish Kumar said: “We do not want to say anything on this. We wanted to know from him yesterday, but he didn’t even speak.”

At the same time, on the Begusarai incident, Nitish said that the officials have been asked to keep an eye.

Prashant Kishor had earlier made several statements against the Bihar CM after he quit the alliance with BJP and joined hands with Lalu Yadav’s RJD.

When Mr Kishor was asked by reporters on Saturday regarding Mr Kumar being upset at him, he had said that nobody takes Bihar chief minister’s talks seriously.

“Who’ll take his talks seriously?… He just left BJP a month ago and is (now) meeting leaders and parties in opposition to BJP. But doing that won’t make much of a difference. We need a credible face for that, public faith, workforce and mass movement,” the poll strategist had said.
