Drake wins 12m in a single roulette spin

When playing roulette, everyone dreams of winning big, right? You place your wagers and hope that your bets come in, especially if you’ve staked on single numbers. For one person, that dream became a reality, and that person is, of course, hit Canadian rapper Drake, who bagged a prize of over $12 million.

Drake, 35, real name Aubrey Graham, may be famous for his music, but in recent times he’s also become renowned for his gambling activities too. He’s known to regularly stream himself gambling on the Twitch platform, which makes sense because online, there is a huge range of roulette games, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette being a typical example of how innovative the choices have become. And, with Drake being a big roulette fan, this fits perfectly.

It’s fair to say that Drake made the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently where his betting activities are concerned after placing a huge $833,000 double on Arsenal to win away at Leeds and Barcelona to win El Classico at the Bernabeu. And, while Arsenal duly delivered, thanks to Bukayo Saka scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory at Elland Road, Barcelona lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

But, in typical Drake style, he’s bounced back by showing his skill while playing roulette after bagging a prize worth over $12,000,000 in a single spin. And, to make achieving the feat even better, he did so wearing the iconic Arsenal top of the 2005/06 season, which many remember Thierry Henry wearing when he was at the top of his game. It made the loss of $833,000 nothing but a distant memory, with Drake’s total haul from the spin registering at $12,240,000.

You possibly would have thought after losing close to $1 million that Drake would have decided against chancing his arm once again, but that’s not how the Toronto-born mega star works, with his staggering win at the roulette table coming just hours after his double on Leeds and Barcelona lost. If there was ever a way to bounce back in style, it’s undoubtedly to win millions at the roulette table, that’s for sure.

In between recording music, gambling has very much become the go-to for Drizzy. And he’s never been scared to take a risk or two along the way if he feels there’s a chance that it could pay off. For example, if you head back to July this year when both Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett were competing at a UFC event in London, Drake backed both of them to come through their bouts victorious in a double where the stake was $2.3 million. And it paid off.

And, staying with the UFC, Drake also wagered $1 million on middleweight champion Israel Adesanya to defeat Jared Cannonier. And Adesanya duly obliged. Of course, things don’t always go to play, but the Canadian is proving that he’s somewhat of a dab hand when he puts his money down, be it on sports or at the casino.
