Eric Bailly openly questions Solskjaer as tensions rise at Manchester United: Reports

Manchester United, center-back Eric Bailly reportedly bought right into a coaching floor confrontation with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. That’s noteworthy within the aftermath of the Crimson Devils’ humbling loss at dwelling to Liverpool at Old Trafford.

United was utterly humiliated by Jurgen Klopp’s side 5-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday night. Mo Salah, the star performer continued his stunning form for Liverpool and scored a hattrick to secure a memorable win. He became the first opposition player to ever score a Premier League hat-trick at Old Trafford.

Recent reports suggest that the 48-year-old had already lost more than half of the United dressing room. There are also rumors of a rift between Cristiano Ronaldo and Mason Greenwood. Solskjaer’s team selections in a few games this season have also reportedly baffled the players

The most recent addition to these tensions within Old Trafford is the rumored bust-up between the Norwegian and Eric Bailly. A report from The Telegraph (via Express) said that Bailly ‘openly challenged’ Solskjaer during a training session.

Bailly reportedly took exception to being disregarded for taking part in XI within the 4-2 loss in opposition to Leicester City. Solskjaer most well-liked to play Harry Maguire, who had attended just one coaching session, as he was recovering from an injury. Bailly, in the meantime, had collected minutes with Ivory Coast throughout the worldwide break and was arguably the fitter possibility.

However, Bailly’s non-selection was not a surprise, though, as he has been reduced to a bit-part role since Solskjaer’s arrival. He has made just 41 appearances in close to three years under the Norwegian. Since the arrival of Raphael Varane this summer, Bailly has found himself further down the pecking order.

Solskjaer says Liverpool thrashing was his "darkest day"

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Sunday’s 5-0 hammering at home to Liverpool was the “darkest day” he has had as manager of the club. United now has lost their last four games and is now eight points behind leader Chelsea. The Red Devils are now placed at seventh position in the Premier League. They will face Tottenham next week, followed by an away game against Atalanta in the Champions League on November 2.

“It is not easy to say something apart from it is the darkest day I have had leading these players. We were not good enough individually and as a team, can’t give a team like Liverpool those chances but unfortunately we did. The whole performance was not good enough. We created openings, they had chances and they have been clinical. The third goal decided the game,” Solskjaer said

“You can look at last season, we lose to Spurs (Tottenham Hotspur) 6-1 – this is worse, miles worse. This is miles worse for me as a Manchester lad. I’ve just got to say we have to get over this as quickly as we can.” he added
