Over 400,000 people may be trapped in Mariupol

Russia demanded that Ukraine’s military lay down their arms and leave Mariupol on Monday, which Ukraine rejected. Hundreds of thousands have sought safety in the war-torn city as Russian soldiers fire wave after wave of artillery and missile attacks. Approximately 3.4 million people have fled to neighboring nations such as; Poland, Slovakia, Romania, and Hungary, totaling 10 million people displaced across Ukraine.

Hundreds of civilians, including children, have lost their lives as a result of the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukraine claims that over 14,000 Russian servicemen have lost their lives in the conflict thus far.
