According to the YouTube channel StatsTube, Ronaldo has the highest points (3,601) compared to Messi (2,961) for nominations in the award’s history from 1956 to 2019. Surprisingly, Modric is third on 837 points ahead of Zinedine Zidane (715).

Virgil van Dijk
