Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party Leader and Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik’s recent tweet is currently under discussion. He said that Mahatma Gandhi has fought from the Britishers, and we will have to fight from thieves. For the past several days, the state government has been criticizing the central government for misusing investigative mechanisms. The opposition has intensified since the NCB, ED, and CBI launched investigations into some key leaders of the ruling party in the state.

Against this backdrop, a tweet by Nawab Malik on Friday night is currently the subject of discussion. In this tweet, he has indirectly stated that he is pointing fingers at this issue. It is also expected that an investigation team will visit his house today or tomorrow.

Malik via his tweet indicated that investigative teams may raid his house. He tweeted, “Friends, I have heard that some government guests will be visiting my residence, I am all set to welcome them. To be afraid is to die every day. We don’t want to be scared, we want to fight. Even Gandhi had fought from Britishers, we will fight from thieves.”

The Maharashtra Minister has consistently leveled allegations against NCB official Sameer Wankhede and his family over the past month. He has accused Sameer Wankhede and his sister Jasmine of running an extortion racket and pretending to be SCs despite being Muslims. A court hearing is underway in this regard and the court has directed him not to make any remarks regarding Sameer Wankhede.

Nawab Malik had last month claimed that some unidentified persons tried to conduct recce of his residence and tried to collect information about him and his family members. He also alleged that some central agencies want to implicate him in false cases.

Unconditional apology from Nawab Malik

Responding to a court notice for violating Central Bureau of Narcotics (NCB) Divisional Director Sameer Wankhede and his family members, Malik submitted an apology to the court and vowed not to make any further statements against the Wankhede family.
