Washington DC : There 12 shot dead and 52 injured at the mass gathering at United States for Halloween according to an analysis from data from Gun Violence Archive.
Several shootings took place between Friday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Oct. 31, occurred in areas with crowds, according to CNN. The organization describes a mass shooting as an incident when a “minimum of four victims shot, either injured or killed, not including any shooter who may also have been killed or injured in the incident.”
This number has reportedly increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, with 599 mass shootings so far this year, according to the archive.

The holiday weekend saw mass shootings at house parties, a boxing event and on the street across seven states, according to CNN. Among these are Illinois, Colorado, Kentucky, Texas, California, Florida and Oklahoma.
In addition to documenting mass shootings, the archive singular reports of gun violence around the country. As of Monday at 11 a.m., there were three shootings in the last 72 hours in Massachusetts; One in Haverhill on Oct. 30, another in Framingham on Oct. 30 and one in Lynn on Halloween.
