Mumbai: After the bow and arrow symbol was frozen and the Election Commission barred both factions from using the name ‘Shivsena’, late last night, here are three names and symbols suggested by Uddhav Thackeray for his party’s new name and symbol. Uddhav Thackeray through Facebook addressed people and announced three symbols chosen by the party.
Uddhav Thackeray called a meeting of MLAs, MPs, party leaders, and office bearers today (October 9) on Matoshree. After discussing with everyone in this meeting, three symbols and party names will be submitted to the Election Commission tomorrow (October 10) by two o’clock.
Trishul (Trident), which is often associated with lord shiva. Rising Sun, which signifies a new beginning, and Mashal (Torch) which signifies hope.
The three names suggested are:
a) Shiv Sena (Balasaheb Thackeray).
b) ShivSena (Prabodhankar Thackeray) Prabhodankar Thackeray is Uddhav Thackeray’s late grandfather.
c) Shivsena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray.
Uddhav Thackeray said, “We have given three symbols, the Trishul, the Rising Sun, the Mashal. Shiv Sena gave three names Balasaheb Thackeray, Shiv Sena Prabodhan Kar Thackeray, Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray. As per the order we have given the symbol and name. Please give us the name as soon as possible. The Commission has announced the options it has provided but has not yet revealed what the traitors have offered. As we want to go to their court, Election Commission should give us a symbol and name as soon as possible. Today is Khojagiri (Hindu Festival), and the night is hostile, stay alert. Today, if time passes, no one will beat us.”
