Tejashwi Yadav claimed in a string of tweets that the state government was not given the benefit of the doubt when paramilitary soldiers from the federal government were stationed at BJP headquarters in Bihar.
He said that the BJP doesn’t have faith in their own “double engine government” and is staying in a coalition with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) just for the sake of power.
“The Bihar government should tell us whether the police is so incompetent so as to warrant deployment of central forces at BJP offices?,” asked Mr Yadav.
Massive demonstrations against the “Agnipath” initiative took place in Bihar last month, with protesters torching trains, damaging stations, and destroying the homes, offices, and vehicles of BJP leaders.
Along with Sanjay Jaiswal’s home, the demonstrators also vandalized Renu Devi, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, and several BJP buildings.
In response to the widespread opposition to the short-term military recruitment scheme, the central government granted two MPs and eight BJP legislators the third-highest “Y” Category security. The BJP high command was not happy with how Chief Minister Nitish Kumar handled the situation during the protests, according to BJP insiders.
According to the plan, 45,000 individuals between the ages of 17.5 and 21 will be hired and serve for a period of four years before being required to retire, most of whom will do so without receiving gratuity or pension benefits.
