Kangana Ranaut: “We got freedom in alms”

Mumbai: Actress and four time national award winner and Padmashri winner Kangana Ranaut is being questioned on whether she deserves the prestigious Padma Shri as she said that we have received freedom as alms.

This is termed as an insult to great leaders Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Sardar Patel, Udham Singh, Rajguru and hundreds of freedom fighters. She further said that we got independence in 2014.

Kangana was also in controversy when she had glorified Mahatama Gandhi’s assassinator Nathuram Ghodse.

On Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary on 30 January, actor Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter to glorify Nathuram Godse and say that there always are ‘three sides’ to every story. Godse, the man who assassinated Gandhi, was hanged to death on 15 November, 1948.

Posting a few photos of Godse Kangana tweeted, “Every story has three sides to it, yours, mine and the truth …. A good story teller neither commits nor conceals… and that’s why our text books suck … full of exposition #NathuramGodse”
