Uttar Pradesh’s special investigation team claims it has recovered a stick allegedly used to lynch two local BJP leaders and the driver of a Mahindra Thar, owned by Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence on October 3.
The police say Gurvinder Singh, a farmer accused of lynching the BJP leaders, helped them recover the stick on Friday. He is on a three-day police remand and was arrested on Tuesday.
