Bhopal, December 15: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old youth allegedly kidnapped and disrobed a nine-year-old boy in Madhya Pradesh’s capital city Bhopal on Monday. The boy’s family registered a complaint against the accused. The incident took place in the Hanumanganj locality of the city on Monday evening. The accused lives close to the boy’s home. According to a report published in The Times of India, the youth took the boy to one of the dilapidated quarters in a colony nearby quartered. The accused allegedly lured the boy with the pretext of buying a kite. After taking him to a secluded place, the accused disrobed the boy.

Sub-inspector Ayaz Chaanda told the media house that when the accused was chatting with the boy, the minor’s friends followed him secretly. They rescued the boy as soon as the accused started misbehaving with the boy. The family members of the boy then approached the police. On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered against the 25-year-old youth under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police have launched a manhunt operation to nab the accused. A detailed investigation has been initiated into the matter.
