Marvel Tv shows

Since its beginning in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has witnessed remarkable growth. There’s no indication of things slowing down after more than 20 films. Indeed, the growth has only just begun. In addition to a slew of films in the works for the next several years, there will be many new TV shows as well. Let us look at all Marvel TV shows slated to premiere following Black Widow.

Marvel TV shows soon to release

What If…?

Marvel has already begun to explore the MCU’s multiverse. The concept of many versions of established characters with Loki, but What If…? will go far further. What If…? is essentially an alternate history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will envision a variety of quite different scenarios from the one that fans are familiar with.

This will feature Peggy Carter obtaining the Super Soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers; T’Challa becoming Star-Lord instead of Peter Quill; numerous heroes, including Captain America, becoming Marvel Zombies; and the Guardians of the Multiverse joining up. All of this will be monitored by Uatu, the Marvel Comics Watcher, who will be voiced by Jeffrey Wright.

Almost every character in What If…? is voiced by a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the show premieres on Disney+ on August 11, 2021. The first season will include ten episodes, with a second season already in the works.

Hawkeye

Marvel Tv shows

Much of Phase 4 of the MCU is about passing the torch and new heroes taking up the mantle, and Hawkeye will be no exception. Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Clint Barton in the TV show, this time to pair up with and train Kate Bishop, his MCU successor, played by Hailee Steinfeld.

Hawkeye also stars Vera Farmiga as Kate’s mother, Eleanor Bishop; Tony Dalton as Clint’s old instructor, Jack Duquesne, nicknamed Swordsman; and Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, aka Echo, a hero who can imitate other people’s emotions.

Clint will be deaf in Hawkeye, and the program appears to be taking a more comic-accurate approach to the character, including a more conventional purple suit for him to wear. More plot specifics are under wraps. Although it will feature Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), following on from Black Widow’s post-credits sequence, in which Hawkeye is set up as her next target by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia-Louis Dreyfus). Hawkeye doesn’t have a set release date yet. But production ended in April 2021, and the film will premiere on Disney+ later that year.

Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel is an adolescent superhero who draws inspiration from Carol Danvers. Ms. Marvel, actual name Kamala Khan, has only been a part of Marvel Comics for a decade, but she has already established herself as a popular figure, which she should maintain in her own TV show. There are six episodes in all.

Kamala possesses shapeshifting abilities in the comics, which will be adapted in some form for the Disney+ series. Though it’s not clear if the origins will be up for modification. (there, Ms. Marvel is an Inhuman, getting powers after being exposed to the Terrigen Mists, a storyline Marvel may wish to avoid after past Inhuman failures). Apart from that, this Ms. Marvel appears to be a true adaptation: Iman Vellani plays the superhero, who has Kamala’s Pakistani ancestry. The whole tone appears to be quite lighthearted, which is in line with Ms. Marvel’s persona since set photographs have shown that Ms. Marvel will make several references to other superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel.

That makes sense because following her show, Kamala will star alongside Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau in 2022’s The Marvels. Ms. Marvel does not yet have a specific release date. Although it is likely to premiere on Disney+ before the end of 2021.

Moon Knight

Marvel Tv shows

Moon Knight is a figure who many Marvel fans have wanted to see in the MCU for a long time, and it will finally happen in 2022. He will be a Disney+ original series starring Oscar Isaac as the eponymous hero, who is essentially Marvel’s version of Batman (a rich crimefighter with a penchant for gadgets, and who is a skilled detective, whose stories often get pretty dark).

Moon Knight is unique in that his alter ego, Marc Spector suffers from dissociative identity disorder, and each of his personas is basically a separate character. Moon Knight began production in April 2021. While narrative specifics are limited, it’s apparent that Isaac is working hard to perfect the character’s martial arts talents.

Moon Knight has some fantastic and violent action sequences and battle scenes as a result of this. It also stars May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke in an unspecified role (though he is likely to portray the villain). Moon Knight will likely premiere on Disney+ in 2022. Although considering the development schedule, it will most likely premiere before that year. It might have six episodes as is the case with many other Marvel tv shows.

She-Hulk

Jennifer Walters, a lawyer, obtains a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner after an accident, and as a result, she has the power to change into a green goliath of her own. She-Hulk isn’t quite as strong as the Hulk, but she’s also not quite as out of control. Tatiana Maslany will play the titular character, with Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce and Tim Roth reprising his part as Abomination (following on from his appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).

Ginger Gonzaga as Jennifer’s friend, Renée Elise Goldsberry as a character named Amelia, and Jameela Jamil as villain Titania, a recurring nemesis of Jennifer in the comics, round out the core cast of She-Hulk. She-Hulk will be a mix of legal drama and comedy, with the character confirmed to break the fourth wall in the series, giving it a unique dimension compared to most of the Marvel Tv shows. She-Hulk will premiere on Disney+ in the first half of 2022, having begun production in April 2021.

I Am Groot / The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special

Marvel Tv shows

Disney+ will get a double dose of Guardians of the Galaxy goodness, which will keep fans entertained until the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in 2023. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be written and directed by James Gunn. It will serve as a bridge between Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians 3.

The Guardians of the Galaxy main cast will likely return, and the unique nature of the film should allow for plenty of fun and hilarity. I Am Groot, a series of films featuring the eponymous little tree, will almost certainly proliferate, providing Disney+ a new competition to Baby Yoda. Both Guardians’ projects will debut in 2022, with the Holiday Special premiering around the holidays.

Secret Invasion

The Skrulls weren’t the Earth-infiltrating evil villains of the comics when they first appeared in Captain Marvel. It was a clever twist, but in Secret Invasion, the MCU takes a more typical approach to extraterrestrial shapeshifters, with a rogue tribe of Skrulls who have taken up residence on Earth.

The show’s title comes from a famous Skrull tale of the same name, in which several Marvel heroes were revealed to be Skrulls; while Secret Invasion may not be on the same scale, it should nonetheless contain a few significant surprises and reveal many high-ranking Earthlings as for aliens.

Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury leads the ensemble of Secret Invasion. He builds on his mission in space in Spider-Man: Far From Home’s post-credits sequence. Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos, who claimed to be Fury in Far From Home, will be beside him. Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Killian Scott will all have parts in the film. Monica Rambeau is expected to reappear in the show. It is based on the conclusion of WandaVision when the Skrulls recruit her for Fury. Secret Invasion will likely premiere on Disney+ in 2022, with filming due to begin in August 2021 and a six-episode run planned.

Ironheart

Marvel Tv shows

Iron Man may be dead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but his legacy lives on, as seen by two Marvel Disney+ shows that focus on Tony Stark’s life and death. Ironheart is the first, and it will revolve around Dominique Thorne’s character Riri Williams. Riri is a super-genius who, like Tony, attends MIT, where she creates her first Iron Man suit.

That draws Tony’s attention, and he declares her to be a superhero. Given Tony’s death, some of that will have to be modified. But it’s still quite probable that Ironheart will be a figure who draws inspiration from Iron Man and continues on his legacy as a de facto successor, while also standing alone. Ironheart will feature six episodes like many Marvel Tv shows. It began its writing in May 2021, indicating that filming will begin in late 2021 or early 2022. As a result, Ironheart might air on Disney+ in 2022.
