In Bangladesh, the consumption of alcohol is prohibited by law, for religious reasons. Despite it, alcohol is available across the country as the non-Muslims residing in the country or visiting the country are not subject to such restrictions as long as they confine their alcohol consumption to their private spaces.
There are government-approved alcohol-producing companies, which produce local brands but owing to a fewer number of such alcohol distillery and high prices, there is a high demand for comparatively cheaper Indian liquor in Bangladesh, read the release. (ANI)
