Veteran cricketer MS Dhoni is undergoing ayurvedic treatment from a nearby “vaidya” after experiencing pain in both knees. Dhoni is reportedly receiving treatment from a local practitioner in Ranchi. Dhoni told the doctor about the pain in both of his knees, and he subsequently received a dose of an INR 40 medication.
The vaidya stated that the medication cannot be taken home, thus Dhoni has to travel 70 kilometers once every four days to obtain the dosage. According to the reports, the same Vaidya also treated Dhoni’s parents before him. The vaidya has been treating his patients with ayurvedic remedies for the previous three decades. He sits in a tarpaulin tent under a tree. He is seated in Katingkela, near the Lapung police station. The vaidya is identified as Bandhan Singh Kharwar.
MS Dhoni visited the vaidya
Bandhan Singh was unaware of Dhoni. Until he observed a large group of young children swarming around his car and snapping photographs with him. Even when Dhoni’s parents used to visit him, he was unaware that he was treating them. He said, “Dhoni comes like a normal patient without any pomp. He has no pride in being a celebrity. However, now every four days, the news of Dhoni’s arrival gathers his fans here. So now he sits in his car while his medicine is administered to him.”
In August 2020, MS Dhoni declared his retirement from international cricket. He has since only led and represented the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. CSK had a poor IPL this year and will look to start afresh in 2023.
