Navjot Singh Sidhu meets Punjab CM days after resigning as state Congress chief

Two days after resigning as Punjab Congress chief, Navjot Singh Sidhu met chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday.  Sidhu had quit the post over disagreements with Channi about certain appointments. 

According to NDTV report quoting sources, Sidhu agreed to withdraw his resignation during that meeting. 

The Punjab CM had called Sidhu for a meeting personally to settle the issue. Charanjit Singh Channi had said on Wednesday that he was not rigid about the appointments and he is ready to discuss any objections that Sidhu might have. 

The Punjab unit of the Congress is in turmoil after Amarinder Singh was removed as the chief minister and its chief Sidhu resigned from his post ahead of the Assembly elections in the state early next year.
