The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has established a convoluted COVID-19 policy for visitors. Those attending the 94th Oscars Awards on March 27 in Los Angeles will have to follow it. A person with knowledge of the situation said on Thursday that guests of the March ceremony must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination as well as at least two negative PCR test results.

Actors and presenters at the film industry’s highest awards will require PCR testing. However, the proof of vaccination is not necessary. Dolby Theatre, can seat 3,317 people, but, 2,500 people will be available to see the awards this year. Masks will not be needed for nominees and their guests in the lower areas of the theatre.

Oscars are on 27th March 2022

The source explained that they will be positioned with a wider area between groups than usual. Because they will be sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, those in the mezzanine may have to wear masks. COVID- 19 cases are declining in Los Angeles County.

The California Department of Public Health confirmed revised suggestions on Wednesday. It eradicates vaccination regulations for major outdoor events. Fully vaccinated guests no longer have to wear masks indoors in most of Disneyland as of Thursday. When the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival will return in April, it was notified on Tuesday that there will be no immunization, testing, or masking requirements.

Last year Oscars were inside Los Angeles’ Union Station. Amid the pandemic, stringent COVID testing principles were in place. COVID vaccinations were not obtainable at the time of the event. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences disclosed this week that Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes, and Regina Hall will host the next Academy Awards.
