‘Owaisi friend from past life, Bhagwat Shakuni Mama’: Govt engineer’s Sunday off request

This has to be the most bizarre leave request ever. A government engineer in Madhya Pradesh wrote to his boss requesting offs on Sundays. Sounds normal. Right? But wait for his reasons.

Rajkumar Yadav claimed that he has recollected events of his past life and needed Sunday offs to study Gita and do some soul-searching.

Not just that, Yadav claimed that he has realised that AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi was his close friend Nakul in past life and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was Shakuni Mama. Both references from the epic Mahabharat.

He also wrote that he wanted to go door-to-door seeking alms to erase his ego.

In a tit-for-tat reply, Yadav’s boss, the panchayat CEO Parag Panthi, said that he should show up at office every Sunday and work hard to “be free of ego”.
