Parambir Singh moves court for the cancellation of non-bailable warrant, proclaimed offender order

Mumbai : The Former Mumbai Police commissioner and accused in Extortion case Parambir Singh has moved mumbai’s killa court for the cancellation of non-bailable warrant issued against him and also for scrapping proclaimed offender order.

Singh who was missing from many days suddenly appeared in mumbai to join investigation in extortion allegations made against him. On Wednesday, singh appeared before mumbai police’s crime branch unit 11.

Param Bir Singh was declared a “proclaimed offender” last week by a magistrate’s court in Mumbai.

Param Bir Singh was declared a “proclaimed offender” last week by a magistrate’s court in Mumbai. The non-bailable warrant was issued in a case against Param Bir Singh registered at Goregaon police station on the complaint of builder-cum-hotelier Bimal Agrawal. Along with Param Bir Singh, the FIR also names dismissed police officer Sachin Vaze, and four others- Sumit Singh alias Chintu, Alpesh Patel, Vinay Singh alias Bablu, and Riyaz Bhati.

Param Bir Singh was removed as Mumbai police commissioner in March 2021 after the arrest of dismissed police officer Sachin Waze. Waze was held in connection with the case of an explosives-laden vehicle found near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai.
