PM Modi on Tuesday praised teachers for tackling challenges and adapting new teaching skills during the Covid-19 pandemic through online classes and exams. 

The Prime Minister made these comments while launching ‘Shikshak Parva’, a slew initiatives in the education sector. ‘Shikshak Parva’ or a festival celebrating teachers will be held from 7th to 17th September.

Asserting that they will play an important role in shaping India of the future, PM Modi launched  the Indian Sign Language Dictionary – an audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, Talking Books – audio books for the visually impaired, School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers’ training programme and Vidyanjali portal for facilitating education volunteers, donors or CSR contributors for school development.
