New Delhi : Former Congress President and Loksabha MP from Waynad congratulated farmers on announcemnet Cancellation of three farm laws. Rahul Gandhi said today Satyagraha Defeated Arrogance.
Rahul Gandhi tweets,”The country’s farmers have defeated arrogance with their satyagraha. Jai Hindi, Jai Hindi’s farmers,” Mr Gandhi tweeted, along with an old tweet from January this year where he said, “Mark my words, the government will have to take back the anti-farm laws.”
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee in tweet said,”My heartfelt congratulations to every single farmer who fought relentlessly and were not fazed by the cruelty with which BJP treated you. This is your victory. My deepest condolences to everyone who lost their loved ones in this fight.”
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait on Friday said that the farmers’ protest will not end till the three farm laws are formally repealed in Parliament. He tweeted the same shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the central government has decided to withdraw the three farm bills.
Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted, “Great news! Thankful to PM @narendramodi ji for acceding to the demands of every Punjabi and repealing the three black laws on the pious occasion of #GuruNanakJayanti. I am sure the central government will continue to work in tandem for the development of the kisan (farmer),” Capt Amarinder Singh tweeted, tagging Union home minister Amit Shah, who he had met recently after stepping down as CM and quitting the Congress as the state heads for assembly elections early next year.
“This has not only come as a huge relief for farmers but has paved the way for Punjab’s progress. I look forward to working closely with the BJP-led Centre for the development of farmers. I promise Punjab’s people I won’t rest till I wipe every tear from every single eye,” Capt Amarinder added.
