The road leading to the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya will be named after Kalyan Singh to pay tribute to the former UP chief minister and veteran BJP leader.
UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said the road leading to Ram Mandir will be named ‘Kalyan Singh Marg’. He added that proposal to name one road each in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Bulandshahr and Aligarh after Kalyan Singh would be submitted.

The development comes after demand from within the BJP to name the Aligarh airport after Kalyan Singh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said a Cabinet meeting would soon be held to discuss the matter.
Kalyan Singh passed away on Saturday night in Lucknow after a prolonged illness at the age of 89.
Kalyan Singh was the UP CM when the Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992 by kar sevaks. He was a staunch supporter of the campaign for Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya.
