Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have detained hundreds of individuals for questioning in recent days after targeted killings of minorities shook the Valley, according to multiple media reports.
Those detained included members of the banned religious organisation Jamaat-e-Islami and others with previous links to militant groups, Reuters reported.
Seven people were killed in Jammu and Kashmir in the past week. Out of seven, four of them were from the Hindu and Sikh minority communities.
According to police reports, at least 28 civilians have been killed in Kashmir this year in targeted attacks causing panic.
