New Delhi Dec 27 PTI The Delhi Police has assured the Delhi High Court that adequate security would be provided to a liquor vend and its employees for ingress and egress to the outlet and no interference would be caused in its functioningThe submission by the police was made during the hearing on a petition by owner of a liquor vend who sought direction to the authorities to take adequate steps so that the petitioner is in a position to run his outlet without any hindrance from unlawful protestors sitting outside the vend and damaging its premisesNoting the stand of the police Justice Rekha Palli disposed of the petition saying no further orders are called forIt is clarified that this order will however be subject to the continued validity of the liquor license in favour of the petitioner the court saidDelhi government standing counsel Santosh Kumar Tripathi and advocate Arun Panwar representing the State and Delhi Police assured that the concerned SHO of the area will ensure adequate security is provided to the petitioner and its employees for ingress and egress to the liquor vendThe counsel further assured the court that adequate steps will be taken to ensure that no interference is caused in the smooth functioning of the liquor vend Petitioner Universal Distributors running a liquor vend at Ashok Nagar in Shahdara said it has a valid liquor licence and is seeking direction to the authorities to provide adequate securityThe petitioners counsel said they have made various representations to the SHO of Police Station Jyoti Colony seeking adequate security for the petitioner and its employees for ingress and egress to the liquor vend but no action has been taken till date PTI SKV RCJ RCJ
New Delhi Nov 25 The body of a 40-year-old man was found in a garments factory after a fire broke out in Gandhi Nagar area of Shahadra here on early Thursday morning police said The deceased was identified as Sanju who hailed from a village in Uttar Pradeshs Bulandshahar district they said There was no visible burn injury on the victims body so he could have died due to suffocation police said adding a post-mortem examination will ascertain the exact cause of death According to the Fire Department they received a call around 3 am regarding a blaze in a factory and six fire tenders were rushed to the spot Police said the fire tenders could not reach at the exact location as the factory was in a narrow street They said their all-night patrolling staff rushed there and extinguished the fire which broke out on the first floor of the factory with the help of locals Deputy Commissioner of Police Shahadra R Sathiyasundaram said A man later identified as Sanju was found lying unconscious on the factorys first floor He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead The premises were used for manufacturing and storage of shirts by a man named Deepak Jain of Ashok Nagar and he was visited by the cime team as part of an inspection the officer said According to the report from the Fire Department further legal action will be taken he said PTI AMP AAR
Jaipur Oct 26 PTI A teacher of a private school here was booked for allegedly outraging the modesty of a girl student police said on Tuesday The teacher was also suspended by the school which has decided to get the matter investigated by a fact-finding committee These accusations are of serious nature and are in violation of the service rules a notice from the school management said adding that based on the complaint the teacher is being suspended The girl had last Saturday met DCP South Harendra Mahawar with a complaint against the teacher The case was registered at the Ashok Nagar police station on Monday The girl alleged that the teacher molested her in 2018-19 but she could muster the courage to report the matter only now after a teacher was recently booked for sending obscene messages to schoolchildren and later arrested PTI AG RDK RDK
