India UK agree to deepen cooperation in cyber domain

New Delhi Nov 25 PTI India and the UK on Thursday agreed to deepen cooperation in dealing with various challenges emanating from the cyber domainAt the first meeting of the India-UK Joint Working Group on Cyber Deterrence the two sides decided to work closely to jointly develop strategies to counter the emerging challengesBoth sides discussed various key aspects related to cyber deterrence and ways to further deepen the existing bilateral cyber cooperation under the India-UK framework for the Cyber Relationship signed on April 17 2018 the Ministry of External Affairs MEA saidThe meeting was held in the virtual formatIndia and the UK agreed to work closely with each other and hold regular consultations on addressing the challenges to cyber deterrence and for building effective cyber deterrence strategies the MEA added in a statementThe Indian delegation was led by Atul Malhari Gotsurve Joint Secretary Cyber Diplomacy in the MEA while the British team was headed by Will Middleton Cyber Director from the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office FCDOThe meeting was attended by senior cyber officials from the respective ministries and departments of both countries PTI MPB RC

India NZ agree to deepen cooperation in cyber domain

New Delhi Nov 17 PTI India and New Zealand on Wednesday agreed to work closely with each other in areas of cyber security cyber crime and capacity building the Ministry of External Affairs MEA saidThe decision to expand bilateral cooperation in the cyber domain was taken at a two-day virtual dialogue that concluded on Wednesday The second edition of the India-New Zealand bilateral cyber dialogue discussed various aspects of existing cooperation in cyber space and agreed to further expand it the MEA said in a statementThe cyber dialogue discussed various aspects of existing bilateral cooperation in cyber space exchanged views on the latest developments on cyber issues at bilateral regional and multilateral fora and explored initiatives to further deepen cyber cooperation it saidThe delegations deliberated on a wide range of topics of mutual interest and agreed to work closely with each other in the areas of cyber security cyber crime and capacity building the MEA addedThe Indian delegation was led by Atul Malhari Gotsurve Joint Secretary Cyber Diplomacy in the MEAThe New Zealand delegation was co-led by Dan Eaton director of national security policy and Georgina Sargison acting unit manager of emerging security issuesSenior officials from various government ministries and departments from both the countries participated in the dialogue PTI MPB DV DV
