Post-mortem report reveals delivery executive suffered grievous injuries on head chest Police

New Delhi Jan 18 PTI The post-mortem report of a 38-year-old executive of an online food delivery company showed that he had sustained grievous injuries on his head chest and limbs in an accident officials said on Tuesday Salil Tripathi was killed last week when a Delhi Police constable allegedly under the influence of alcohol rammed his car into the delivery executives two-wheeler while he was waiting for a food order The accused Delhi Police constable identified as Zile Singh was arrested and released on bail police said adding they are awaiting a forensic report to ascertain the presence of alcohol in his blood The post-mortem report from Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital said that Tripathi sustained grievous injuries on his head chest and limbs the police said The death was due to craniocerebral damage and haemorrhagic shock consequent to injuries to the body All injuries were ante-mortem fresh before death caused by blunt traumasurface impact and could be sustained in a road traffic accident said the autopsy report The accused constable had also sustained injuries and was hospitalised a senior police officer had said earlier A case under IPC sections 279 rash and negligent driving and 304A causing death by negligence was registered against the constable police said adding further investigation is underway The deceased who lost his father to Covid six months ago is survived by wife 10-year-old son and mother who live in Delhis Budh Vihar they said PTI AMP AQS AQS

New Delhi Dec 20 PTI The condition of the senior DRDO scientist arrested for planting explosives inside the Rohini district court is stable and he is under observation at AIIMS police said on Monday a day after he allegedly attempted suicide by consuming hand wash in a washroom while in custodyAccused Bharat Bhushan Kataria 47 was arrested for allegedly planting an improvised explosive device IED in a tiffin box inside the Rohini court on December 9 with an intention to kill his neighbour who had filed several cases against him and was present on the court premises that day they saidA senior police officer said Kataria is under observation at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences AIIMS and is doing good He is out of danger and his condition is stated to be stable now he addedA few tests were conducted today Monday as part of his treatment while the remaining tests will be conducted tomorrow Tuesday the officer saidThe accused was questioned by the Delhi Polices Special Cell on Friday and subsequently arrested He was in police custody since then and was being interrogated the police saidOn Saturday night Kataria allegedly consumed liquid hand wash inside a washroom and was later found lying unconscious When asked he complained of vomiting and stomach ache He was rushed to the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital and referred to AIIMS from thereThe police had said that the accused constantly misled officers during interrogationThe IED planted by Kataria triggered a low-intensity explosion in courtroom number 102 Naib Court head constable Rajeev was injured in the blastThe IED was not properly assembled due to which only the detonator exploded the police had said PTI AMP IJT
