Pontevedra (Spain), October 23 (ANI): The Indian contingent at the U23 World Wrestling championship saw the biggest victory on Saturday as Aman Sehrawat, the Indian teenager, made history on Saturday by being the first wrestler from India to win a gold medal at the U-23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain.

Ace Indian wrestler and Olympic medalist Bajrang Punia captured a bronze medal in the men's 65 kg category at the recently World Wrestling Championships 2022, by defeating Puerto Rico's Sebastian C Rivera in the bronze medal bout.

Bajrang Punia had picked up the injury during his pre-quarter-final bout at the world championships. However, he produced a spirited fightback to go on to win his fourth world championships medal, a bronze, with a bandage on his head.
