The mela was organised on Wednesday, the aim of which was to familiarise the public with the Indian Army and to encourage a sense of belongingness and togetherness.
Zojila day is celebrated to mark the heroic action by Indian troops in 'Operation Bison' in 1948 which was launched on the icy heights of Zojila pass, the gateway to Ladakh.
