Mumbai sees 1160 new COVID-19 cases 10 deaths

Mumbai Jan 30 PTI Mumbai on Sunday reported 1160 new coronavirus positive cases taking its overall tally to 1045630 while the death of 10 such patients increased the toll to 16612 the civic body said A total of 2530 patients were discharged during the day post-recovery So far 1015451 patients have recuperated from the infection in the city the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporations health department said in a statement There are 10797 active COVID-19 cases in the city With 46307 tests carried out on Sunday the overall test count reached 15243823 Of the 1160 new cases 1009 patients are asymptomatic while 160 are hospitalised Of them 29 are on oxygen support Out of the 37573 beds 2268 are occupied Mumbais recovery rate is 97 per cent and the case doubling rate is 375 days Mumbai civic commissioner I S Chahal said the citys positivity rate has come down to 25 per cent PTI MR NP NP

Mumbai sees 2550 new COVID-19 cases 13 fatalities

Mumbai Jan 23 PTI Mumbai on Sunday reported 2550 new coronavirus positive cases taking the tally of infections to 1034833 The death toll rose to 16535 after 13 more patients succumbed to the coronavirus infection the city civic body said A statement from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporations health department said that 84 per cent or 2142 of the 2550 new patients are asymptomatic It said 337 more patients were hospitalised of whom 40 are on oxygen support The percentage of occupied beds out of the total beds available in Mumbai is 106 per cent it said A total of 217 patients were discharged in Mumbai on Sunday which raised the number of recoveries to 995786 Mumbai is now left with 19808 active cases With 45993 new tests the number of samples examined so far in the Maharashtra capital has gone up to 14977218 as per the statement Mumbais recovery rate is 96 per cent The case doubling rate is 125 days PTI MR NSK NSK

Mumbai Sep 17 PTI Mumbai on Friday reported 434 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths taking its infection tally to 737164 and death toll to 16042 a civic official said With 387 patients discharged from hospitals the recovery count rose to 713992 which is 97 per cent of the tally The countrys financial capital has 4658 active cases now The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporations data showed that 38 buildings are currently sealed after five or more infections were found there Since mid-August there have been no containment zones in the city The caseload doubling time is now 1289 days and average growth rate of cases between September 10 and 16 was 06 per cent the data revealed PTI KK BNM KRK KRK
