"However, the Minister, for some unfathomable reason sat on the file till November 17 and returned the file back to the Chief Secretary, without any observation, rather than forwarding it to the LG. The file was again sent back by the Chief Secretary, this time directly to the LG and has since been approved by the LG," read the statement.
The air quality in the national capital remained in the 'very poor' category and was recorded at 337 at around 8:30 am on Saturday as per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).
"As per the directions as provided under Stage III of the revised GRAP and under section 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, it is hereby ordered that there shall be restrictions to ply BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel LMVs (four-wheelers) in NCT of Delhi with immediate effect till December 9 or till downward revision in GRAP stage, whichever is earlier," read an order issued by the transport department.
