27-yr-old woman absconding since 2017 arrested for kidnap murder

New Delhi Mar 20 PTI The Delhi Police has arrested a 27-year-old woman who was absconding for almost five years in a case of abduction and murder officials said on Sunday Nidhi a proclaimed offender was arrested from her native Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh they said She was one of the accused in the case of abduction and murder of a man named Sagar in 2015 After securing bail in 2017 she went absconding and was declared a proclaimed offender the next year the police said On Saturday based on a tip-off about Nidhi the police arrested her from near a caf in Ghaziabads Govindpuram Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Cell Jasmeet Singh said According to the police nine people including Nidhi and her husband Rahul Jaat had abducted Sagar on April 1 2015 from GTB Enclave area here took him to Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh and later mowed him down with a truck and killed him The alleged murder was made to look like an accident the police said Explaining the motive behind the killing they said Nidhi and Rahul were against Sagars friendship with Aarti Nidhis sister Despite their warning he kept meeting her even after her marriage This infuriated them and they decided to kill Sagar the police said Rahul too was out on bail He is a part of the notorious Rohit Chaudhary and Ankit Gurjar gang Rahul has previously been involved in three cases of murder attempt to murder and abduction for murder and was earlier booked under the Arms Act in Delhi the police said PTI NIT NIT CJ CJ

New Delhi Dec 21 PTI The Delhi Polices Special Cell has arrested two men from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly supplying illegal firearms in the national capital officials said on Tuesday The accused have been identified as Chhote Kumar 34 and Dinesh 32 both residents of Aligarh district in the neighbouring state they said On Monday information was received that two members of a gang had collected the consignment of ammunition from an arms supplier of Madhya Pradesh a senior police officer said Both of them would arrive at a spot near a bus stand at the ring road going towards Naraina near Dhaula Kuan to hand over the firearms to one of their contacts the officer said Thereafter a trap was laid near the bus stop near Dhaula Kuan and both the accused were cornered around 915 pm After sensing police presence they whipped out their weapons and pointed towards police but they were overpowered Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Cell Jasmeet Singh said The accused disclosed that they procured the firearms and ammunition from an arms manufacturer-cum-supplier of Khargone in Madhya Pradesh police said They have been indulging in regularly procuring firearms from arms manufacturers of Madhya Pradesh and further supplying the same to gangsters hardened criminals and small arms peddlers in Delhi-NCR and adjoining states of Uttar Pradesh Haryana Rajasthan etc for the last 10 years the DCP said Kumar was previously found involved in nine criminal cases including one of murder and two of attempt to murder in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during the last 10 years Dinesh was previously involved in three cases police said A total of 15 illegal pistols and 30 live cartridges have been recovered from their possession police added PTI NIT HDA
