The Centre has apprised the Supreme Court that contents related to drug abuse and ill effects of substances such as alcohol, heroin and cocaine have been included in the school textbook prescribed by NCERT and a study is going to explore the possibilities of using drones to destroy illicit cultivation of Opium and Cannabis is being conducted by NCB.
On November 11, the Supreme Court ordered the release of six convicts including Nalini Sriharan and RP Ravichandran, who were serving life imprisonment in connection with the assassination in the case.
