The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested a Superintendent of CGST(Audit) in the Gandhidham area of Gujarat for demanding and accepting a bribe.
A team of officers of anti-evasion, CGST and Commissioner, Navi Mumbai, conducted enquiry against the firm. The firm had availed and utilised ITC of Rs 10.48 crore which has been received from bogus/fake entities on the strength of bogus invoices received and passed on the same
CBI informed that a case was registered against a Superintendent, CGST, Ankleshwar on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs. 75,000 from the Complainant for transportation of goods from Modasa to Vapi through his jurisdiction.
The revenue for October 2022 is the second highest monthly collection, next only to the collection in April 2022 and it is for the second time the gross GST collection has crossed Rs 1.50-lakh-crore mark, the government, according to the ministry of finance.
