The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested five men after the complainant told the police that his property worth Rs 25 crore was usurped through forged documents.

NIA said its investigations have established that the accused persons who are members of the D-Company, a terrorist gang and an organized crime syndicate, had conspired to further the criminal activities of the gang by carrying out various types of unlawful activities.

Mumbai: Two police officers were remanded in the custody of the Maharashtra Criminal Investigation Department (CID) custody for seven days by Mumbai court on Tuesday. They were remanded in connection with an extortion case registered at Marine Drive police station here against them and former city police commissioner Param Bir Singh. The two cops – inspectors Nandkumar Gopale and Asha Korke – who were previously posted in the Mumbai crime branch, were arrested by the CID on Monday.

The police even went to his Malabar Hill house but could not find him there.
