Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Shikha Narwal made the final after shooting through two rounds of qualification. In the first, they topped the field with a score of 862 which equalled the Asian record in the event. They remained on top in the second qualification round as well with a combined score of 576.
With four gold medals and one silver each by Esha Singh and Palak, the Indian shooting contingent leads the Asian Airgun Championship table with 34 medals, out of which 22 are gold, eight silver and four bronze.
Mehuli Ghosh, who won silver in the 2018 Youth Olympics, finished behind Cho in the ranking round with a score of 261.1. The South Korean was a table-topper with a score of 262.5. However, the Indian shooter won the gold medal match 16-12.
