Chandigarh Apr 26 PTI Haryana Minister J P Dalal on Tuesday said there is no ban on inter-district movement of dry fodder though restrictions have been imposed on the inter-state transportation to meet the local demand The Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister clarified that there is no ban on inter-district movement of fodder However to meet the local requirements only inter-state transportation restrictions are imposed and every Deputy Commissioner should keep a close vigil on the incidents where fodder is being transported to other states directed Dalal while presiding over a review meeting of the availability of fodder in Gaushalas with the Deputy Commissioners held through video conference The Congress on Sunday hit out at the BJP-led Haryana government saying the decision to ban the sale of wheat residue which is used as cattle fodder outside the state is a dictatorial decision Haryana Congress president Kumari Selja had said that imposing restrictions on the sale of tudi wheat residue outside the state was a dictatorial decision This decision should be withdrawn immediately she had demanded Dalal said in the meeting that a nodal officer should be appointed to monitor the fodder coming from other states It should also be ensured that the vehicles coming from other districts carrying fodder should not face any difficulty in commuting Everyday monitoring of procurement and sale of fodder should also be done the minister directed according to an official statement here He directed the officials concerned to work on a war footing level along with drafting proactive strategies for ensuring adequate availability of fodder in each Gaushala before the onset of monsoon Every Deputy Commissioner should ensure that no Gaushala in the state faces any difficulty due to fodder shortage said Dalal If required people should also be encouraged to donate fodder he said The minister said that the possibility of formulating an incentivized scheme should also be explored under which an amount should be given if any farmer ties up with the Gaushalas for sowing green fodder PTI SUN VSD MR
Chandigarh Mar 31 PTI Haryana Agriculture Minister J P Dalal on Thursday launched the portal of Mukhya Mantri Bagwani Bima Yojana Under this scheme farmers will be compensated for the damage caused to their crops due to adverse weather and natural calamities he said He said that adverse weather and natural calamities like hailstorm adverse temperature frost flood cloudburst breakage of canaldrain water logging high wind velocity and fire which cause crop loss were included in this scheme Dalal said that 21 crops are covered under this scheme-- 14 vegetables tomato onion potato cauliflower peas carrot okra bottle gourd bitter gourd brinjal green chilli capsicum cabbage radish 2 spices turmeric garlic and five fruits mango kinnow berry guava lychee The minister said the Haryana Government will promote organic farming in a big way to enhance the income of farmers For promoting this it has been decided to create a separate wing in the Agriculture Department This wing will pay special attention to the quality and increase the productivity of food grains in the state Besides this for farmers a training programme would be chalked out and separate clusters will also be formed he said after launching the portal of Mukhya Mantri Bagwani Bima Yojana The minister also said that farmers of the state would also be encouraged for diversification of crops According to an official statement Dalal said that the Yojana will be optional for all those farmers who will get registered under Meri Fasal Mera Byora Under the scheme the sum assured will be Rs 30000 per acre for vegetables and spices and Rs 40000 per acre for fruits The farmers contributionshare will be only 25 per cent of the assured amount which is Rs 750 per acre in vegetables and Rs 1000 per acre in fruits he said The Agriculture Minister said that the compensation has been divided into four categories 25 per cent 50 per cent 75 per cent and 100 per cent Dalal informed that Rs 10 crore will be kept by the government as initial capital for the scheme Compensation amount will be based on survey Monitoring of the scheme review and resolution of disputes will be done through the state-level and district-level committees constituted under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana he said He said that the State Government is committed to implement farmer friendly schemes and policies PTI SUN MR MR

Chandigarh Dec 22 PTI Haryana Agriculture Minister J P Dalal on Wednesday said that mapping work is being done for all the land holdings in the state Through this initiative registration of all farmers is being done on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora government portal After getting the complete records of these lands it will be up to the convenience of the farmers mandis sales centres etc for other centres to be set up Dalal said The Agriculture Minister was replying to a calling attention motion moved in the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday by opposition Congress MLAs Opposition legislators Varun Chaudhary and Amit Sihag said when the farmers register their land for agriculture produce it is verified by the agriculture revenue departments and satellite imagery is also taken and in case of any discrepancy the burden of proof is on the farmer who is not enlightened about the same until he reaches the grain market at the time of selling his produce They said there is no provision for the farmer to know the status of quantum of registration under the portal and pointed out that a majority of land in Haryana is held in mushtarka held in common by shareholders So it becomes a huge task for the peasants to get it registered on the portal when another shareholder has already got himself registered on it INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala also pointed out that the portal is like the way three farm laws which were brought without consulting farmers In the same manner without consulting farmers and traders this portal was launched and now farmers are facing problems However Minister Dalal said the Meri Fasal Mera Byora is a flagship scheme of the state government in which farmers register themselves to sell their crops at the MSP rates and get other benefits of agriculture and other allied departments He said it is not correct to say that there is no provision for the farmer to know the status of the quantity of registration under the portal The farmer can view the details filled by him during the registration of the crop and he can get the printout The Agriculture Minister informed that where the land holding exists in the form of mushtarka there is a provision in the portal for the shareholders to register themselves by mentioning the same Shareholders can decide among themselves on who is going to register how many shares he said Now this portal has become an umbrella platform for almost all the benefits including MPM Mera Pani Meri Virasat Direct Seed Rice Bajra Replacement and Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana Uttam Beej Seed Development etc he said The main objective of launching the portal was to bring people on an online platform where farmers and government can come together and peasants can get timely subsidyfinancial assistance or other benefits for growing their crops Dalal said The subsidyfinancial assistance is directly deposited in the bank account of the farmers via this portal through direct bank treasury or e-procurement Minister said He informed that the portal has been developed in such a way that it has taken care of all the existing problems of the farmers especially in the area of procurement Farmers can now select the nearest mandis through this portal at the time of procurement at MSP and schedule their arrivalMSP is paid for the sale of their produce PTI SUN HDA
Chandigarh Dec 22 PTI Police complaints or cases were registered against 2943 farmers for stubble burning from 2019 to 2021 in Haryana and 736 were arrested in 2019 and 2020 the state assembly was informed on Wednesday Agriculture Minister J P Dalal gave the information through a written reply in response to a question raised by INLD member Abhay Singh Chautala Chautala had sought to know year-wise and district wise number of cases registered against farmers for stubble burning along with fine imposed and the number of farmers arrested in these cases during the last three years in the state The House was also informed that a penalty of over Rs 37 lakh was imposed on defaulters in 2019 over Rs one crore in 2020 and over Rs 82 lakh in 2021 While 397 farmers were arrested in 2019 339 were arrested in 2020 but no arrest was made in 2021 the House was informed In 2019 maximum complaintscases were lodged in Jind 515 followed by Karnal 438 and Fatehabad 431 while in the year 2020 the figure for Jind was 439 which saw maximum cases in the year However in 2021 number of cases filed across the state dropped to 100 from total 1975 in 2019 with maximum 82 from Karnal district No farmer was arrested in 2021 the minister added PTI SUN SRY
Chandigarh Nov 25 PTI Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister J P Dalal on Thursday asked concerned officials to prepare a plan for mapping Rabi crops so that no problem arises while conducting the crop mapping Dalal gave the instruction during a meeting with the officers of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department here an official statement said The agriculture minister further told officials that besides progressive farmers the progressive ones among those adopting fisheries and dairy farming too should be honoured so that other farmers get inspired to adopt diverse means of generating income While discussing the availability of DAP in the state the officials informed Dalal that the state is getting two rakes of DAP every day from the central government and a stock of about 25000 MT DAP fertilizer is available in the state Regarding urea the minister was told that about 119 lakh MT stock of urea is available in the state The agriculture department is getting 10000 MT of urea per day from the central government Dalal said the central government will provide 45 lakh MT of urea to the state by December 31 2021 for the sowing of Rabi crops PTI VSD SUN RAX RAX
Chandigarh Nov 23 PTI Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said free tablets will soon be given to students of Class 11 and 12 across the state The government has decided to purchase five lakh tablets which will be given to the students studying in Class 11 and 12 in the upcoming academic session A total of Rs 560 crore will be spent to buy these tablets he said In future the government would plan to give tablets to the students of other classes as well he said Besides 15000 tubewell connections will be issued to the farmers soon Khattar said In this regard the process of purchasing power equipment worth Rs 350 crore was completed during the meeting of a high-power purchase committee These decisions were taken in a meeting held here in which Education Minister Kanwar Pal Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma Power Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala and Agriculture Minister J P Dalal were among others present according to an official release Later interacting with reporters the Chief Minister said curbing corruption is the main goal of his government If any officer or employee is found involved in corruption strict action will be taken against him he said in response to questions on the alleged scam in recruitment for dental surgeons The Chief Minister said if anyone gets any information related to corruption in jobs or departments then they should immediately inform the State Vigilance Bureau PTI SUN HDA
