Noida Mar 21 PTI An idol was found damaged inside a temple in a village in Noida on Monday morning prompting the police to launch an investigation into the matter officials said Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Noida Harish Chander said the local Sector 63 police station was alerted about vandalisation inside a temple in Behlolpur villageA police team along with forensic experts and a dog squad reached the site to look into the matter immediately One idol was found in a damaged condition he said Some blood samples were also found there which prime facie look like human blood Apparently someone who broke a glass cover within which the idol was set got hurt and his blood dropped DCP Chander said The officer said the police are investigating all angles in the case and refuted rumour that a piece of meat was also strewn inside the temple compound He said the police have also contacted the temple priest who had gone to his home in the night and returned only in the morning when he witnessed the vandalisation Another rumour that the temple priest was held hostage at the time of the incident is incorrect DCP Chander said He said the law and order situation at the village was under control An FIR was being registered in the case and further investigation was underway he added PTI KIS RCJ
Noida Dec 22 PTI A 58-year-old doctor and his 56-year-old wife who were involved in a property-related dispute in Delhi were found dead at their home in Greater Noida police said on WednesdayTheir bodies were found Tuesday night by their family and the duo appears to have ended their lives by consuming poison Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Noida Harish Chander saidThe local Surajpur police station officials were alerted last night about the couple being found dead at their home A team of forensic experts and senior officials immediately reached the couples flat in a housing society he saidA suicide note was found from the spot in which the couple detailed out their situation The note and its assertions are being verified The couples son has also been contacted and he has also shared some inputs the officer saidApparaently the couple died of consuming some poisonous substance It has come to light that the doctor and his wife lived in Kirti Nagar in Delhi and had moved to Greater Noida in August this year They were engaged in a property-related dispute in Delhi with the issue causing them tension DCP Chander saidNames of some persons have been mentioned in the suicide note as accused and their details are being worked out the officer said adding further legal proceedings in the case are underway PTI KIS RCJ RCJ
Noida Aug 23 PTI A 32-year-old mans body has been found with a bullet shot in the head at a flat in Uttar Pradeshs Greater Noida police said on Monday The body was found on Sunday night at a high-rise society in the Surajpur area Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Noida Harish Chander said The deceased has been identified as Pawan alias Jassi who lived in the flat on rent Prior to him a police sub-inspector had rented this flat The SI had moved out of the flat after his transfer DCP Chander said As per information gathered so far Pawan would sometimes come to stay in this flat On Saturday also he had come there with a few friends and allegedly they had some drinks Liquor bottles have been collected from the flat he said The officer said the body was found on Sunday night with a bullet injury on the head A country-made pistol has been recovered from the spot and the police are probing the case from all angles including murder and suicide An FIR has been registered in the case on the basis of a complaint from Pawans family against three accused and multiple police teams have been formed to investigate the death he added PTI KIS SNE
