Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 15 (ANI/NewsVoir): On October 14, 2022, HDFC Life, one of India's leading life insurers, announced the merger with its wholly owned subsidiary Exide Life, pursuant to the receipt of the final approval from Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). This event marks the completion of the first-ever merger and acquisition (M&A) transaction in the Indian life insurance sector. HDFC Life completed the acquisition of Exide Life in January 2022.
New Delhi [India], November 2 (ANI): The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved the acquisition by HDFC Life Insurance Company (Acquirer) of 100 per cent shareholding in Exide Life Insurance Company Limited (Target) under Section 31(1) of the Competition Act, 2002, informed CCI on Tuesday.
