Maha logs 144 COVID-19 cases two fatalities

Mumbai Apr 24 PTI Maharashtra on Sunday reported 144 fresh COVID-19 cases and two deaths taking the tally of infections to 7876841 and the death toll to 147834 a health official said Both the fatalities were reported from Pune city he said With 95 patients being discharged after COVID-19 treatment the overall count of recoveries in Maharashtra rose to 7728091 as of Sunday leaving the state with 916 active cases The recovery rate of Maharashtra is 9811 per cent and the case positivity rate is 984 per cent the official said With 27094 tests conducted in the past 24 hours the number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra has risen to 80046447 Mumbai city reported the highest number of 73 cases in the state and Pune city 15 cases Dhule district reported 12 cases the official said Maharashtras coronavirus figures are as follows Fresh cases 144 total cases 7876841 fatalities 147834 active cases 916 tests conducted 27094 PTI ND NSK NSK

Mumbai Apr 23 PTI Mumbai on Saturday reported 72 COVID-19 cases a slight rise in the daily addition after a fall for two consecutive days a civic official said The metropolis had reported 68 cases on Friday a sizable dip from 98 on Wednesday which was the highest for April so far and 91 on Thursday he pointed out The tally in Mumbai stood at 1059213 while the death toll remained unchanged at 19562 he said So far 1039148 persons have been discharged post recovery including 43 during the day leaving the active caseload here at 503 the official added A health bulletin issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said 70 out of 72 cases were asymptomatic while the remaining two have been hospitalised though both did not need oxygen support It also stated that only 12 out of the 25944 hospital beds earmarked for COVID-19 treatment were currently occupied With 9453 samples being examined in the last 24 hours the overall number of tests in Mumbai stood at 16835488 it said Civic data showed the recovery rate was 98 per cent the positivity rate stood at 0006 per cent the caseload doubling time was 10736 days and the overall case growth rate between April 16 and 22 was 0006 per cent It also revealed the countrys financial capital was free of sealed buildings and containment zones Mumbais coronavirus figures for the day are as follows Fresh cases 72 Fatality 0 Overall active cases 503 Tests conducted 9453 PTI ND BNM BNM

Mumbai Apr 23 PTI Maharashtra on Saturday reported 194 fresh COVID-19 cases the highest rise in one day after March 25 and one fatality taking the tally to 7876697 and the death toll to 147832 a health official said On March 25 Maharashtra reported 272 COVID-19 infections Meanwhile with 26694 more tests conducted in the last 24 hours Maharashtras total number of tests passed the 8 crore mark since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020 and reached 80019353 The lone COVID-19 fatality was reported from Pune city the official said With 141 patients discharged during the day the number of recoveries in Maharashtra rose to 7727996 with the recovery rate hovering at 9811 per cent The case positivity rate is 984 per cent the official said Maharashtra is now left with 869 active cases he added Mumbai reported 72 cases the highest in the state in a day 52 in Pune city and 13 in its neighbouring city Pimpri Chinchwad Mumbai circle which includes Mumbai and neighbouring cities and districts reported 92 cases followed by 81 infects from the Pune circle he said Maharashtras coronavirus figures are as follows Fresh cases 194 fresh fatality 1 cumulative cases 7876697 toll 147832 active cases 869 tests conducted 26694 PTI ND NSK NSK

Puducherry Feb 21 PTI The union territory of Puducherry witnessed a dip in number of fresh coronavirus cases with 22 infections being reported in the last 24 hours taking the overall tally to 165619 a senior Health department official said on Monday The 22 new cases were identified at the end of the examination of 1062 samples and were spread over Puducherry 15 Karaikal six and Yanam one Mahe an enclave of Puducherry reported no fresh infections the Director of Health G Sriramulu said in a release The union territory had reported 33 COVID-19 cases on Sunday The number of active cases stood at 363 as compared to 419 on Sunday with 19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals and the remaining 344 in home quarantine The Health department Director said 78 patients recovered during the last 24 hours ending 10 AM Monday while the overall recoveries went up to 163296 Sriramulu said no fresh fatality was reported from any of the four regions during the last 24 hours and the death toll remained at 1960 The Health Department has so far tested 2203622 samples and has found 1848948 out of them to be negative The test positivity rate was 207 per cent while the fatality and recovery rates were 118 per cent and 9860 per cent respectively The Department has so far administered 1569840 doses which comprised 928512 first doses 629369 second and 11959 booster doses Sriramulu said PTI CORR SS SS
