Noida Dec 27 PTI Tender to develop a wrestling court with two rings has been finalised with an estimated expenditure of Rs 60 lakh the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority GNIDA said on Monday The facility would come up in Sector 37 of Greater Noida where a sports complex is also proposed the GNIDA said The company Ms Pankaj Jain which will be developing the wrestling court has been finalised through the tender process About Rs 60 lakh will be spent on the project it said in a statement GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan said a lot of emphasis is being laid on increasing sports facilities in Greater Noida especially for the villages since the launch of Centres Khelo India initiative According to officials about four hectares of space has been earmarked for a sports complex in Sector 37 The wrestling court will be built in a 50 by 15 metres area with two rings both measuring 12 by 12 metres in it Apart from this there will also be facilities for changing rooms and toilets There will also be a spectator gallery the officials said Bhooshan has instructed the developer to start the wrestling court soon and complete it on time according to the officials PTI KIS CK

Noida Nov 23 PTI Greater Noidas first charging station for electric vehicles EVs is likely to start in two weeks and as many as 100 such stations are planned for the city officials said on TuesdayThe Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority GNIDA said it has signed a memorandum of understanding MoU with CESL for setting up the charging stations for EVsThe first charging station is targeted to be commissioned in the next two weeks in the Alpha commercial belt the GNIDA saidIt said efforts are being made to promote electric vehicles across the country under the National Electric Mobility Scheme and Greater Noida has also joined this campaignOn instructions of GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan charging stations for electric vehicles are going to be built at 100 places in Greater Noida For this the GNIDA has signed an agreement with Convergence Energy Services Limited a subsidiary of EESL on Tuesday according to an official statementThe MoU was signed in the presence of GNIDA Additional CEO Deep Chandra in-charge of commerce cell and OSD Naveen Kumar Singh and officers of CESL it addedAfter the first charging station in the Alpha commercial belt GNIDA and CESL teams will conduct a joint survey to identify the locations of the remaining installations and will submit a report in 10 days the GNIDA saidThese charging stations to be built in collaboration with CESL will bring great convenience to electric vehicle drivers GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan saidCESL MD and CEO Mahua Acharya said Greater Noida is one of the major industrial cities of Asia with ample opportunities to promote electric vehicles PTI KIS IJT

Noida Nov 18 PTI Contractors and builders were slapped with penalties worth Rs 10 lakh in Greater Noida on Thursday for causing pollution while fines of Rs 275 lakh were imposed in Noida over violation of construction norms officials said Altogether 13 contractors and builders were issued penalties by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority GNIDA they saidThe penalities were slapped as all sorts of construction has been banned for four days due to high level of pollution in Greater Noida A total of 13 such offenders were issued fines totalling Rs 10 lakh on Wednesday and Thursday the GNIDA said GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan has appealed to city residents to support in tackling pollution by not burning waste increasing plantation and ensuring proper waste management The Noida Authority said it issued similar penalties in 22 cases worth Rs 275 lakh in the cityThe penalties were levied for violation of pollution-related guidelines in NCR it said in a statement PTI KIS KJ

Noida Sep 20 PTI As many as 1000 new signages in the same colour style and format will come up across Greater Noida in order to help people find their destinations easily and make the city look beautiful officials said on Monday The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority GNIDA said a tender has been floated for this job estimated to cost Rs 450 crore and the work on this will begin in a month he said adding it would be completed in six months There are several places in Greater Noida where lack of signages causes difficulty to commuters in reaching their destination Also the signages at various places are in different colours formats and styles which looks odd Hence we have decided to install more signages in same style and colour format of green background GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan said The GNIDAs project department has taken approval for this and tenders have been floated for installation of 1000 new signages at a cost of Rs 45 crore The contractor among other conditions will have to maintain the signages for a period of five years Bhooshan said The GNIDA has also decided that commercial establishments will have to get their signages installed through them instead of doing it on their own so as to maintain uniformity across the city A policy has been prepared by the state government for the installation of sign boards under which one can contact the project department of the authority to get the sign board installed Now any commercial institution whether it is an educational institution or a company or a society all will have to get the sign boards fixed by the authority Bhooshan said The authority has selected a contractor for this work who will put up their sign board Although the cost of its installation will be borne by the institute itself but the design and size will be decide by the authority The institutes will decide the location as per their requirement he added PTI KIS RAX RAX
