New Delhi [India], January 31 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to list for hearing a plea by former Rajya Sabha MP Mohammad Adeeb for contempt action against Haryana officers for their alleged failure to prevent incidents revolving around Friday namaz prayers in plots in Gurugram.
New Delhi [India], January 8 (ANI): A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court by Surjit Singh Yadav, Vice President of Hindu Sena, opposing the contempt petition that sought action against officers of the Haryana government for their alleged inaction against the disruptions of namaz prayers at open places in Gurugram.
“In the recent months, there has been a constant rise in incidents revolving around the said Friday prayers at the behest of certain identifiable hooligans,” states the contempt petition.Gurugram: A former Rajya Sabha member has approached the Supreme Court with a petition to initiate contempt proceedings against the Haryana chief secretary and the state’s director-general of police over the recent row involving problems faced by Muslims in offering Namaz at public spaces in Gurugram.
